I want to do a research project that requires me to quantify cognitive/neurological/endocrinal responses to faith/devout religion, both long and short-term if possible. How can this be done?

I am not surprised that you have not until now had any responses! The whole subject appears irrelevant and you state it in a pompus manner. You might get some answers if you would take the trouble to tell us in straight language what they hell it is you want. What is it about that subject that you know and which brings it some importance? What do you mean by cognative? Why in hell did you choose this subject? Would it make any difference to anyone or anything if you were (or were not) able to answer it?

    Charles,
I do think that was rather uncalled for. I cannot see anything pompous in the manner of the request.
I think it would have been enormously helpful if the individual had declared at what level he was seeking to do this project. One must assume it is high school, but there must be some parameters in terms of time and resources available that would be needed if anyone were to give a useful response.

Oh, I admit I was too harsh! I have an unreasonably low tolerance for pompus, academic-sounding dissertations. You may well be right and that this is a high school assignment, but even at that age, they try to immitate the academic style and all the built-in-to-the style double-talk.

    Thanks for reminding me.
