What kind of motos/wisdom you know, that helps you psychologically?

I've become to a conclusion, that all kinds of changing operations are making your mind weaker, not better. So if you are having mental health issues, never start doing psychological surgery to get rid of all the negativity. I have noticed that accepting all the braincontent works better than trying to avoid things. Scizophrenia as example, causes lot of moments that you can't stand - but if you are not starting to fight the sympthoms, you'll be more happy.

Depression can really eat your concious too. All the negative thoughts that recycle in your mind, they need to be isolated and put away. Let others help you. Take the meds.
The hard situation will fade out eventually.

    Know yourself and be that!

Some thoughts have helped me over the years. Remember to not carry all the burden.

    Wise sayings:

"Never open a can of worms unless you intend to eat them."
"It is far better to remain silent and have others think you are a fool then to open your mouth and prove them wrong."
"There are many kinds of cheese, but not all of them are any good."
"I used to wonder why there were so many stars in the sky. Now, I wonder why there are so few on the ground."
"While there are those that never will want to understand what is real, there are just as many who are willing to believe anything."
"People are like chocolate. If you give them enough heat, they melt."
"Opinions are like assholes. There's one in every crowd" (I threw this one in during a row on another thread.)

Ok... I'm full of it. I just made those up. But I had fun...

Always do to others as you would want them to do to you. Treat them with respect until they don't show you any then remove them from your list of friends.

Help when you can and if you can't then suggest someone else that can.

Remember that you can only do so much and to know your own limitations, that way you'll avoid doing to much and causing yourself pain and trouble.

I think you mean 'right' at the end of that. Otherwise, I'd MUCH rather open my mouth and prove that I am intelligent and well-read. If only such a thing were true...

My philosophy in life is to treat others as you wish to be treated. Respect people in every walk in life, as the is no such thing as a menial job. Show respect, love, compassion and empathy. It is amazing what an extended hand in comfort or friendship will bring you.

A problem shared is a problem halved, I always liked this one because sharing problems is good, it just always seems so much easier helping solve someone elses problems than your own.

Busy people get things done, I've found that if I didn't know how to do something, if I was busy I'd find a way because I didn't have time not to, however when I had the time I'd just use it procrastinating.

Practice makes perfect, Sometimes people put to much pressure on themselves to be good at everything, but nobody can be good at everything so just practice as we all get better with practice, there isn't much we can't do with suffieient effort and practice.

Do things that make you happy, this one sounds kind of obvious but how many of us can think of things we've done in the past that we enjoyed but haven't done in ages or have stopped doing them and can't remember why.

Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

For some reason that reminds me of something my father used to say. (He had a gruff, rather stern way of speaking while looking at you over the top of his glasses.)

Some of the the terrorists outfits unfortunately are well funded by the people. The other day the spokesperson of a terrorist outfit was asked "Do you heed to international pressure?"
His reply was "How many people of my organisation has the government killed?" I think the terrorists meant that one has to kill people in order to have control. I didnt know killing people is as natural as breathing.

Making yourself "likeable" to others isn't conforming. One does not have to change who they are, their personality or anything else to be likeable to others. People will like or dislike you for whatever reason! I am a firm believer in being my own self and yet being sensitive to those around me and the circumstances. I do not feel that is conformity, I feel that is maturity and wisdom born out of life experience.

    here's another:

If you can't do what you want to do, try wanting to do what you're doing.

Very similar to "It's not about having what you want, but wanting what you have."
