Hi. Im a guy btw. I was emailing my best friend (who is also a guy) because I had no one else to talk to. We were emailing, and he asks me "what were you doing with Morgan elier?" Morgan is his girlfriend. I answer "what do you mean? We were playing Pokemon." (I love Pokemon, we all do) and he replies "...dating while I was gone!..." Of course, I would NEVER EVER DO THAT! So I'm FURIOUS that he would even THINK about that. So I got mad and said a few things i regret, and now our friendship is totally destroyed, and Morgan is freaked out that he would think that (I told Morgan) and now... I feel... Idk... Is this a worse phase of depression? And IS THERE A WAY TO GET MY FRIEND BACK?

He had a knee jerk reaction. And... you bunch are kinda young.
Worry about it a bit less. Just send him a message telling him what you think about it all (calmly) and see how he responds. He may need a bit of time to calm down.

Real friendships are not easily destroyed.

Sounds painful. But it's definitely not depression.

If you emailed him just because you "had no one else to talk to" then you've been a poor friend. Seems to me you guys are playing a game of who needs who the least.

My questions: Can you know if this guy is acting aloof out of pride? Do you have the guts to tell him you need this friendship?

Actually, I "had no one else to talk to" because all my other friends are asleep 0_o it's 2:48 AM. And I been a great friend we always looking out for eachother always helping eachother at any times we need help. Then now I'm so mad a him and sad too. And now he probably hates me after i "said some things I regret" as in some really bad things. I'm doomed.

Tell you what, I'll say a bunch of things to you that I will pretend to regret. Give it about 24 hours- then I will send you a PM and say, "Hey look-my emotions got the better of me. I do not like being accused of things I haven't done and I handled it badly."

Don't worry- I'll come up with some doozies.

Then, if you're able to be cool about it- you can consider trying it on the guy you said was a good friend.
Cuz a good friend should be able to be coolER about it than you can be with some random stranger on this here interweb.

If you prefer feeling doomed, however, I can hook you up on that score, as well. No, srsly, i can make your hair stand on end.

Wolf, you've had a bit of a bad week for certain, especially losing your cats (I lost two cats recently also; one to old age and a young one to cancer ) and now with misunderstanding testing your relationships. As you venture down the path of exclusive personal relationships i.e. girlfriends, you can expect to encounter a whole new range of emotions in yourself and others and will need to learn to deal with them and control your immediate reactions which is not an easy thing to do sometimes. You will also need to consider how things may 'look' to others, even though that may not be at all what things are about at all.

Your friend thought you were hitting on his girlfriend, which is not totally unreasonable, given that you are recently broken up with your own GF and many males are not at all shy about stealing the affections of another. (Even though I wear my wedding ring prominently, I still have guys hitting on me, lol. My hubby isn't lacking in confidence and knows that if any of those dudes get too fresh that I am capable of seriously hurting more than their ego. ) This incident just serves to demonstrate that your friend has not yet developed confidence in his relationship skills with either his girlfriend or yourself that he would immediately jump to the conclusion that there was something going on besides Pokemon.

As Neverfly points out, you are all quite young and for that reason have yet to acquire the experience to be able to place these incidents in a broader context. These are all quite normal experiences to have in growing up and while you may be somewhat sad and distressed by these events, that too is a normal response, not clinical 'depression'. Do you have any people that you can talk to about these things, such as a school counselor, someone's older brother (or sister), an adult friend or relative? Sharing helps to put matters in context is why I make this suggestion.

It is the sense of isolation that causes much of the sadness you are experiencing, IMO. Keep busy, try some new things and give it a bit of time...

Good enough. That's all that any of us can do when we have to deal with unpleasant or unexpected circumstances. Some things are definitely less pleasant than others but we learn and develop coping strategies to get us past the rough spots in life and often, with experience, we learn to avoid certain situations that we recognize might be taken the wrong way by others.

As a woman, I have always had to be aware that spending time with a man, any man, unless in a highly public or visible circumstance, might be misconstrued by others as having connotations that it did not. Before the age of sexual awareness, life is so much easier and more fun, when guys and gals can just be good buddies and play with all the fun toys, which in my youth were bikes, go-carts, tree forts and marbles. My best friend, Tina and I won all the fellows marbles, could ride our bikes faster, built a better tree fort and smoked their tails with our go-cart, lol...

We were holy terrors and the boys couldn't best us at anything, lol...

All that changes around the age of 13 or 14, possibly a bit sooner these days. Just saying...
