    Hello all!

I am very interested in the scientific aspects of parapsychology, and I'm therefore on the lookout for scientific articles and books that document the research done on these issues.

So I was wondering if any of you could direct me to some good literature and/or websites that specialises in parapsychology (ESP, psi etc.). Everything is of interest as long as it has scientific integrity.

    Best regards,

Not sure how good this test is, I found it kind of interesting none the less.

Not a subject most science related people will embrace openly. I for one have had too many life experiences to dismiss it. I'm nowhere near as focused as I once was, so my potential is somewhat limited lately.

If I come across any cool sites I'll let you know.

I have been doing tests like these with playing cards. Works pretty well, the results that are statistically significant in terms of overrepresentation of correct guesses is very variable in my test subjects so far.

I know. But it's a shame. It's hard science that's needed in this field. Not self-proclaimed psychics without proof. But, as you, I have also had a lot of heavy personal experiences with this kind of stuff.

I can recommend the following book on this topic:

    Dean Radin: "The Conscious Universe"

It's written by a doctor in psychology affiliated with Princeton university, and is focussed on the scientific aspects of parapsychology.

do an astral projection. U will know its all real! but, its tough to do a real astral projection. Some people confuse ordinary dreams with Astral Projection and not only do they not know how a real astral projection is. . .they simply state that 'astral projection' is to chemical processes in the brain !

Hmm, that saddens me. I do not believe in the existence of anything unless it can be proven, scientifically.

Now, it should probably add that I do not believe that mere statistical evidence is not scientific evidence.

Hume teaches us that no matter how many times we drop a stone, we never know what happens when we drop it next. It might fall to the ground, but it might also float to the ceiling. Past experience can never prove the future.

I would recommend the book: A Demon Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark, by Carl Sagan. He uses science in discussions of many aspects of parapsychology. You can probably pick it up for about $5 at your local used book store and definately find it in your local library.

    Its a wonderful read.

Welcome at the forum Kristian

Maybe you should check out the thread on synestesia. Raison detre's contribution to that thread would probably qualify for parapsychology
