I was reading through a post on here: 'Can curiosity exist without emotion' and someone replied saying that a scouting honeybee shows curiosity.

But to what level can we know that honeybees or other insects and such can posses cognitive thought? And if they can't at all, as they aren't conscious beings, are they showing curiosity? Or is it just animal instinct that has been printed on them through DNA?

This is geniunly a question that I'd like an answer for and would be interrested to hear some different perpectives. I'm far from one of the intelligent sorts on this forum.

    Thanks!
