well, after bottling down on 2 liters of ice cream and a pack of marzipan, and watching a movie called dark matter, i started getting extremely... angsty.
you know, hating the world, and thinking everyone are fucking assholes kinda thing.
so i'm wondering if sugar actually contributes to this general feeling of "everything sucks". has there been done any conclusive testing on this subject matter,
and whether or not sugar releases any "angry" hormones or whatever they're called?

Sugar – particularly in the form of glucose – probably just makes you active. When the body is performing strenuous activity, for example, glycogen is converted to glucose. I don’t think sugar actually makes you angry, cynical or violent.

More likely, violence and aggression may be due to lack of zinc in one’s diet. The famous lateral thinker Edward de Bono once even suggested that the conflicts in the Middle East could be resolved by exporting large quantities of Marmite – a product rich in zinc – to the locals there!

It’s true. I learned this from a repeat episode of “QI” this week. You can also do a Google search on “Bono” and “Marmite”.

heh, i'll check that out then.
what i've noticed though is that its not directly after eating sugary stuff that i get on edge, its usually after the "high" has gone away, and my brain turns to mush, that everything starts to suck.
