    The comet is quite small, what you are comparing is the area occupied by all the shite that is being 'boiled' off it. If you want to make a fair comparison the sun (and all it throws off) IS the size of the whole solar system.

    it's been known for comet tails to be pretty long, but even then this comet isn't the record holder, not even when compared with recent ones such as hale-bopp and hyakutake

    Orion Atlas EQ-G mount with 8 inch newtonion reflector and Canon Digital Rebel XT @ 1600 ISO using 6 20 sec exposures stacked.
