    Hi,

I have a question which relates to a youtube video I recently watched with Prof. Greene talking about time slices. If you look up the video, name above, and goto 6:15 the sequence starts. My question relates to the bit about the alien travelling either away or towards the man on earth.

Prof. Greene shows the time slice would be directed to either the earths past or future acording to the direction of travel.

My question is this, suppose one of the distored time slices intersects with a giant black hole. We know gravity slows down and can more or less stop time so what happens to the time slice? Could it be bent back either towards the same time as earth or even further into the past or does it just slice through.

    Any thoughts guys?

    Thanks,

    Garnet.
