Recently, I have seen several articles about experiments confirming the existence of element number 115.
    Existence of new element confirmed

I while back people were talking about runaway fusion in core collapse supernova temporarily dumping large amounts of energy either in antimatter or super heavy elements.

It looks like, the existence of ununpentium indicates there is an island of stability around 115 protons.
Fusion reactions producing these elements absorb a large amounts of energy.
So, could this bring back the idea that during a core collapse, the energy of the collapsing star temporarily goes into these super-heavy elements until released in the rebound?

I believe in nothing, but trust gravity to hold me down and the electromagnetic force to stop me falling through
Physics is the search for the best model not the truth, as only mythical beings know that.
