I was just wondering if it could ever be possible to to find evidence either for or against the hypothesis that the Universe is rotating?
Since there is no center to the universe, and nothing external to the universe to compare against, I can't see how the concept of rotation would even apply.
If it does rotate, the wouldn't explain the Hubble Redshift, because the Hubble Redshift is the same amount in all directions. That would imply that we are at the center of the rotation, which is quite unlikely.
