    The 2016 total solar eclipse will be visible in Indonesia, and I plan onstanding in the path of totality with other Americans. I will fly into Jakartahopefully with Jen Winter and Fred Bruenjes with whom I traveled to Bolivia forthe Southern Skies Star Party. Jen and Fred have chased eclipses on sevencontinents, and Fred has discovered a comet that bears his name.

    The 2017 total solar eclipse will start in the Pacific Ocean and enter theUnited States in Oregon. The moon's shadow will cross Idaho, Wyoming, Nebraska,Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, and North and South Carolina traveling at 1000mph before going into the Atlantic Ocean. Nashville will be in the path oftotality. I will be in the small town of Crofton in western Kentucky, wheretotality will last 2 minutes, 40 seconds.
