    I was told that this month Mars will meet with earth closest than before, but i don't know when since the rumours keep changing from 23 Aug to 26 Aug and later to 31 Aug.
    But i think i missed it, can anyone post a link or picture for me how does t he Mars looks like at the sky by using our own eyes . I am really dissapointed to the weather at my area.

    You have missed it - it actually happened on Aug 27th 2003

    It's about 4100 miles Diameter and in 2003 was around 35,000,000 miles away that's like looking at something 4mm across (say a pea) about 35 Metres away.

    Remember to look at the date, 2005. Every year this hoax comes around.
    At the moment Mars is the other side of the sun, the next time it will be close to us will be around christmas 2007.

    Mars just looks like a 'star' with a slight reddish tint.

    You are blessed to miss out due to bad weather, instead of wasting time in believing the hoax. As a matter of fact, this year, Mars is at farthest position from earth!
