Thread: Gamma Ray Bursts

I recently seen a show that talked about gamma ray bursts in space. This is some scary stuff. They said it could wipe out the Earth in less than a second and it would be more 1000 times powerful than any nuclear bomb ever created. Plus, scientists have no way of forewarning of such an event.

Whats more amazing than that is the Hypernovas that appear in a star nusery. It happens when a star is born to big and burns its gases at a higher rate of speed then normal. When the star explodes it sends out to beams of energy that shot through space never dieing out, we have just now seen the energy from a hypernove a couple of billions of light years away.
