    could dark matter be the remanence of heat and energy from a star? floating on dark energy ??? and galaxies repelling from each other magnetically???

    Three times no. How could heat produce an attractive force? The typical interstellar magnetic field strength is about 50000 time weaker than the magnetic field of the Earth. It does not play a role. Gravity is the dominating force.

    yes but the all the larger planets have massive magnetic fields and all combined within a galaxy the a total magnetic field would have to be quite large no?
    and all the matter and energy from a star would have to go somewhere so where is the missing link of where the star remanence goes and what dark matter is?

    What? The energy travels through space in the form of electromagnetic radiation until it intersects matter. It is then either absorbed, in which case it raises the temperature of the matter, or is absorbed and re-transmitted. Very little matter departs a star during the bulk of its life cycle. The formative years and the final stages of giant stars are exceptions. Such matter as does leave contributes to the molecular clouds that occupy portions of interstellar space.

    I think if there was a magnetic field out there strong enough to effect the path of stars like dark matter, we would be able to detect it when we stir a cup with a steel spoon.

    Greetings CP. Do you have a reason, and more importantly, do you have any evidence to support your beliefs? We are basing our comments on established science, whose conclusions were arrived at through observations by thousands of scientists and theoretical work by thousands more. You are going to have to come up with something pretty dramatic to justify having a different viewpoint. Certainly something with more weight than 'sorry to disagree'.

    This is not helping at all. You have to realise that it is established that if Dark Matter really exists, it does not interact by electro-magnetism. Only by gravity.

    I would like to agree with dishmaster, there is no direct observational evidence for dark matter interacting with electromagnetic fields in space, dark matter simply effects normal matter around it by the gravitational force otherwise we would be seeing much much more than what we have.

    yes my friends i do have observational proof that gravity cannot be the only element in action, because if so things would spin in every direction... dark matter and dark energy are basically differences in temperatures... ( you will see some day ur gonnna say that guy was right ) lol... cheers
