    it makes you wonder,....
If in fact there is life on Titan, is it sentient? if it is will humanity act as stereotypically as it does in the movies and attempt to destroy the species in one way or the other.
It is also possible that the only life there is bacteria.

If it is very unlikely it would be sentient.

If it was it would likely be a very slow at thinking because of the pace of chemical reeactions at low temperature.

We wouldn't deliberately destroy it. That would be a side consequence of building the tourist resorts and methane extraction plants.

Lack of fast thought wouldn't necessarily mean lack of sentience.
although I do admit the chances of there being to sentient species in a single solar system is very low.

A number of gas giant moons could have life below the surface, notably Europa. Mars almost certainly has bacterial life (and maybe more advanced life) below the surface. What Man did with that life would depend on whether we wanted the environment or any resource there, and whether we could exploit the life in any way. Initially we would treat such life as precious but it would not take the military, politicians and others long to behave as expected.

Unless there was enough profit to be made, in which case we wouldn't deliberately hesitate.

if they had something we wanted then we wouldn't deliberately not forget to accidentally not on purpose fax the possibly do not attack in a maybe eventuality

and then after invasion we'd complain they hadn't given us any choice and besides, the intel we recived was perfectly reliable from a potential source

A totally alien chemistry like methane based life may lead us to some amazing new discoveries.

It would be hoped that that the life would be sufficiently alien as to not affect us in the way of a disease or worse.
