Thread: Mercury hit by solar flare?

Is it possible that Mercury can get directly hit by a solar flare and if, what would happen? :?

Mercury is far too far away to be bothered directly by a solar flare. It could get bombarded by material from the flare but is a very robust planet so little would be done except to raise some dust.
