It is just amazing that these mysteries of matter and energy are going to be experimented by such magnitude. I just can’t wait to see the results of the many experiments to come using the Large Hadron Collider. Maybe quarks and leptons aren’t the basic composition of matter and there is another thing that makes up quarks and leptons! Matter can be converted into energy so what says energy cannot be converted into matter? If matter is made by energy wouldn’t that mean, at some point, energy is the basic component of matter? A lot of amazing results may come from experimenting with the LHC, some of these results might even change our everyday lives. Either way I just couldn’t imagine the LHC not making a significant difference to science.
What's even more impressive in my opinion is that not only are we asking these questions, but we are also willing to put our money where our mouth is and collectively attempt to answer them.
