I don't have a link, but I do have some thoughts...

Sometimes I see folks with tattoos and I can't make heads or tails of what the design is supposed to be. You have to stare at it a long time and be up close to finally figure it out. And it must be real annoying to always have people asking you what the hen your tattoo is supposed to be. So my suggestion is... keep the design simple so others can figure it out from a distance.

Think long and hard of where you want the tattoo, and how big the tattoo will be. I have one on my back and I never see it!

If I could do over, I would go with only black ink (no color). Something to think about....

All my tattoos are easily hidden by clothes. Something else to consider.

Be careful of what design you get. If you ever end up in prison, certain tattoos have definite meanings which could cause major problems (e.g., a shamrock, a spider web).

How will the tattoo age as you age? Another reason to choose a simpler design.

Tattoos on one's face are stupid. Sorry.

    Cheers,
    william

Mmm...i wonder where they could be??

I have a very small cross on my arm that i did with Indian Ink in art class at school.

I'm glad i stopped there though because my mate was a little more adventurous and tattoed boys names and UB40 all over her arms, i bet she regrets it now!

I'm going to have a lizard crawling up my ankle.

I've designed it myself. i love lizard!

I've done several designs for tattoos for friends. One was a dragon a pal had crawling up his back, looked well cool.

Another friend has got an eye on each bum cheek. That looks ridiculous, but he was in the army!

Get an artistic friend to design you one, but don't let the tattoo shop have a copy! Then you know you're tattoo will be unique!

lol kk but i`m still not looking for tattoo designs but tattoo material such as stated above, i`m not gonna tattoo myself anytime soon (although i`m considering to tattoo myself in the future, i still need to decide what I really like and if i`ll continue liking it like... foreva...)
anyhows, the material is for me blog and newsletter, so i need to have tips&tricks, "whats hot these days" type of material.

So again, i beg ya for some phat links.

    Cheers,
    tony

Hi, Hanuka! I'm new in the forum. I'm wondering if your tattoo blog is already up and running (since the thread started in April 2008)? If not, why don't you start writing first about the history of tattoo? It's a great refresher, especially for people who are interested to get such body art. That's just my suggestion though.

Pictures by XVVV - Photobucket my tattoo.

As william pointed out, it is smart to make them unseen with clothes. Especially for job purposes.

Remember that if you do a tattoo do it for yourself and be 100% sure you want it. Be patient and only tattoo yourself if you ABSOLUTELY are sure about it.

I dont think there is any "fashion" in tattoos as with clothes and stuff. As artists all have different styles, and peoples taste in tattoos differ as much as food in taste.

I got mine costum made, dont EVER tattoo yourself by going into a shop and look through a book and say "i want number 34" lol.

Best advice i can give is - do tonns of research if you are to open a blog about it.

Personally I be thinking of getting into the tattoo removal business. I have no doubt fads change and when they do it happens fast.

The only tattoo I'd like is something that would make me invisible. I wonder if it possible to produce a tattoo without the permanency of ink like some kind of genetic alteration that changes skin pigmentation in isolated areas of your body to form images or gives your skin the ability to match the background like an octopus.
