George Harrison & Eric Clapton - While My Guitar Gently Weeps *Rare Live Version - YouTube

"While My Guitar Gently Weeps, George Harrison & Eric Clapton in their Japan concert" Pictures suited the melancholic song splendidly, and I enjoyed this rendition more than the original.

Pierre Bensusan - Wu Wei (live) - YouTube

"Wu Wei, by Pierre Bensusan" I enjoy the sound capture much better in this than the way the song sounds in the studio recordings.

I just came across this posted on another forum and I haven't stopped laughing at the twist on the lyrics of an old classic.

LOL, it gives me something to aspire to in my dotage while I am catching up on the best of the movies I don't take time to watch presently.

I'm a 'chasing sunshine' kind of girl, with a northern theme and this song by Alison Krauss has always made me smile because it has such a lovely rhythm and tone.

I just really like the bass guitar, the whole song just seems to follow it along nicely.

How about we stick to actual music videos, or at least performance videos rather than static screens or slideshows. There is already a thread somewhere for favourite music, but this is a thread for music videos, is it not?

I had never seen any Rammstein videos that weren't live performances. Not knowing the language I always had to guess about it. Usually the body language was too vulgar to get my interest. I am not sure what this song was about but I like the video and suspect it was not intended as a compliment to Americans. lol. I'm not offended, don't get me wrong. I just wonder if the complaints are the same ones I tend to make in regards to official and unofficial attitudes of American government as well as some citizens towards other countries. I'll be looking up the English translation of the lyrics.

    We're all living in America
    America is wonderful
    We're all living in America
    America, America

When there's dancing I want to lead
even if you're whirling around alone
Let yourselves be controlled a little
I'll show you how it really goes
We'll make a nice round dance
Freedom will play on all violins
Music will come out of the White House
and Mickey Mouse will stand in front of Paris

    We're all living in America
    America is wonderful
    We're all living in America
    America, America

I know moves that are very useful
and I will protect you from missteps
And whoever doesn't want to dance at the end
doesn't know yet that they must
We'll make a nice round dance
I will show you the way
Santa Claus will come to Africa
and Mickey Mouse will stand in front of Paris

    We're all living in America
    America is wonderful
    We're all living in America
    America, America

    We're all living in America
    Coca-Cola, Wonderbra
    We're all living in America
    America, America

This is not a love song
This is not a love song
I don't sing my mother tongue
No, This is not a love song

    We're all living in America
    America is wonderful
    We're all living in America
    America, America

    We're all living in America
    Coca-Cola, sometimes WAR!
    We're all living in America
    America, America

An equine reining performance set to music. The rider uses no bridle, just a loop that passes under the horses neck to refine some of the more challenging maneuvers.

My daughter brought to my attention that one of my favorite bands, My Chemical Romance, is no longer together. I hope they get back together some day. They had some very deep, emotional, and intricate songs/videos.

The last one is how I hope my funeral plays out.

Despite the fact that Levels was a top ten hit in more than 12 countries?

PS: Have you also heard the remix of the song by Skrillex?

Ya know what warms the cockles of my heart (if you can find it) is that you pay attention to MY love.... of music, and pictures and art and some of you can even joke....and possibly theatre, to boot... and that you laugh sometimes......well except for Sir Ducky cause his feathers might fall off ..and lord knows I am hoarding them for my new pillow....WASHED of course!

    Thanks for having me!

3 that caught me by surprise, the first two were heard on the radio, and at the time I missed hearing what the band was and what the title was.
Tracking them down took a while - in one case over 10 years...

Surprisingly it turned out that this was Cockney Rebel's first single, but it apparently bombed in the UK and didn't get much airplay until they'd made their name with the likes of Judy Teen and Come up & See Me etc.

This one, as you can see, turned out to be redoubtable and vastly under-rated Jonathan Richman (the only man to have attended more Velvet Underground gigs than the Velvet Underground themselves as the joke goes).
Forget about Egyptian Reggae (unless you go for the B-side - Rollercoaster By The Sea) and try The Neighbours, Corner Store or, especially, French Style.

And then this one - the first time I saw/ heard it done (live on TV) it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I could listen to it forever.

Wegs, I am sorry that I don't know his work.

I perform mostly Broadway tunes, though I also do some other things, like folk (old folk songs and stuff from past centuries).

I can sing opera...I hate opera.. *L* and lord knows people have asked me to do some, but I have always turned two things down. Opera and Shakespeare. Opera, because it is tedious to me, and yes I do know the difficulty of it, but it BORES ME.....and the same with Shakespeare, who's shows generally to me are "Much To Do About Nothing". Just long and over winded......

Interesting that I have met many actors..who are bigger Equity people....and they feel the same way! Then others, who LOVE IT! Each to their own.

Please provide me with a few tunes from this performer.

I am trying to think of a dinner theatre piece to put together for next year when I return. I am thinking of a "Stand and Deliver" night of ballads with maybe 3 or four singers, doing 4 or five stand and deliver pieces...

Since I will be responsible and producing it...(After my first ever massively successful one *dancing still*) ...it has to be good and if I can do it and get Brad and 3 others....we'll have a show....maybe with lead in's to the songs with the other actors....then they fade...

    Sorry...mind is going 100 MPH
