Never, ever, particularly been a fan of the big blue schoolboy.
And this (or the trailer at least) appears to have more than its fair share of not-so-subtle Hollywood-promoted religious overtones.

    Me?
I'm waiting for the return of Bucky Barnes, Soviet Cyborg Hitman. But that's not until next year.

Just thought that others might want to see the "new" look that this superman was given. Although if you have seen one, you've seen them all, just with new actors.

I find it highly unlikely that any self respecting super hero would select such a tacky attire. Why not fight crime in a business suit, or flannel? Seriously, all those hours spent trying to quickly change clothes in phone booths "which are scarce these days with cell phones" , could be reduced if he would just wear regular business clothes. Sheesh.

At least it's not another Lex Luther story.

Seems they are beating a dead horse every 10 years or so with these remakes.

I have seen Superman Returns (2006) and other Superman movies, but the storylines were either weak or the special effects were not of an acceptable quality.
Since the director of this new movie is Christopher Nolan (who has, in my opinion, proven himself with Inception and the Batman Trilogy), I can only hope that this movie will be better.

Im also not a fan of Superman, but this looks like it has the potential to be a good movie, looks interesting. The actor they cast was good in the Tudors I think it is a very casting good choice (I dont know if hes good in the movie, if they give him ridiculous lines or not, but has good potential).

I'm hopeful, but I am going in with low expectations. It seems that Superman just cannot translate live action film. I haven't liked a single Superman film I have seen. Unfortunately being the most powerful super hero, having super everything, makes for a bad screenplay. If they really go through with this whole Justice League plan, and continue with what appears to be a darker tone, I wonder how they'll do the Flash...

    "I never did..."

    -End Teaser-

So it was a smash hit, over 120 million dollars it made, not bad for a remake that never seems to die.

Box office revenue doesn't mean that it was a good movie.

That is true, but it just about guarantees we'll see more of them on a regular cycle.
Then when they become available on Netflix I'll watch it on the cheap.
