i am an amature artist (i use the term loosely), i tend to cut and paste, then paint pixels to get the look i want..nothing original about it..

i use Paint Shop Pro to edit.
i just downloaded Ulead Gif animator for animations

i want to rotate an object..(a globe)
i mananged to use PSP to create 16 slices of my globe and rotated it 22.5 degrees each frame..

    BUT!

psp apperantly tends to degrade the picture after each rotation, so the last frame is fuzzy and dull..

is there a simple small brute force program that would take my image and rotate it for me and not have a frame be fuzzy and dull?
iow, i would input my original and it would output 16 frames rotated 22.5 each shot.

For rotating pictures finely, I use Irfanview. You can save as .png.
Irfanview is relatively inexpensive because it's free.

I responded to you before but my post seems to have vanished. I'm assuming if the post is deleted by the mods they at least send you a pm to let you know why so that you know it was not just a glitch...

Anyway, I don't have any idea what you are talking about specifically, but my son uses a combination of blender and gimp to create 3d animations. They come out really nice and it was recommended to us by someone at WETA workshop.... the folks who did the cgi for LOTR.

It never did anything of the kind on any picture I edited with it.

i have noticed that if i want a transparent background, that i have to reduce the number of colors in order for PSP to make it transparent..

maybe it just can't handle too many colors so when it rotates it it finds the nearest color..
Dunno..im just guessing at this point..
