This is the thread to post how you feel about what you've watched at the movies or on the TV. Tell everything, the Good, the Bad & the Ugly. If you feel up to posting trailers, please do.

I subscribe to Netflix so I also like to post the Netflix descriptions.

The following movie The Tingler I believe was the very first movie to sport that same plot. I saw it as a kid at a local theater.

    The Tingler / Zotz!

    1959 - NR - 166 minutes

This double feature pairs a classic horror flick -- about a pathologist (Vincent Price) who experiments with a parasite that clings to the spinal cord of victims -- with a classic comedy about a professor (Tom Poston) who discovers the zotz, a coin with magical properties. William Castle, who directs both films, initially introduced The Tingler in theaters with electrically "enhanced" seats that delivered a mild shock to audience members.

Watched this movie after watching a couple hours of Moon Machines on the Science Channel. I could only give it 4 out 5 stars, but was glad I watched it.

    Apollo 18

    2011 PG-13 87 minutes

If you buy in to official statements, Apollo 17 was NASA's last manned mission to the moon. But what if found footage of a secret Apollo mission that had taken place the following year could prove otherwise -- and explain why we haven't gone back?

Watched this movie and I highly recommend it. If you are afraid of heights it's really hard to identify with the main character.

I'd like to recommend the following mini series. The 2 discs contain 2 episodes each. Great plot and great acting.

Irwin Sikorski (Randy Quaid) thinks Neumeyer's nuts, but eventually believes him, and the duo sets out to alter future events.

I can only say how I felt about the movie, it had fairly good action and special effects weren't bad. The plot was a bit weak, but I didn't let it interfere with my enjoyment of the movie. I average 6 DVD's per week, and sometimes I get a movie I can't watch to the end, that doesn't happen very often. While I do appreciate strong original plots with great acting, I like action movies usually rated "R" and scifi movies all with lot's of violence, but there are some exceptions to that general theme.

I just installed IExplorer 10 and am having a serious slow down problem in FireFox related to Flash Player. Very annoying to say the least.

I watched the following movie and if I could give it more than 5 stars I would. I love well done violence and they did it better than the Spartacus TV series if that helps anyone that likes those type of movies.

    Immortals

    2011 - R - 110 minutes

In Ancient Greece, King Hyperion searches for a powerful weapon that will free the bloodthirsty Titans and enable them to overpower the gods and enslave mankind. Unable to interfere directly, the gods choose a champion to defend them: Theseus.

Cast: Henry Cavill, Mickey Rourke, Stephen Dorff, Freida Pinto, Luke Evans, John Hurt, Joseph Morgan, Anne Day-Jones, Isabel Lucas, Kellan Lutz, Robert Maillet, Stephen McHattie

Well I watched the 3rd remake and it is better than the first 2 versions. If you enjoy this type of thriller you should watch this one.

    The Thing

    2011 - R - 103 minutes

This terrifying prequel to John Carpenter's 1982 classic of the same name tells the story of a team of Norwegian scientists who find an alien ship frozen in Antarctica. When the organism inside awakens, blood flows across the frozen landscape. Leading the group is pilot Carter (Joel Edgerton), who allies with paleontologist Kate Lloyd (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) in a desperate attempt to rally the paranoid workers to combat the deadly threat.

Cast: Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Eric Christian Olsen, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Joel Edgerton, Ulrich Thomsen, Jonathan Walker, Kim Bubbs, Trond Espen Seim, Stig Henrik Hoff, Jørgen Langhelle, Jan Gunnar Røise, Jo Adrian Haavind

The following movie was rated 5 out of 5 and in my opinion well deserved. A unique plot about an economy where all things bought and sold were based on the time you had left to live. This clock was displayed on everyone's forearm in digital read out, so you always knew how much time you had left. As you can imagine in the poor sections most people lived from day to day just barely staying ahead of death (what a way to live).

    In Time

    2011 - PG-13 - 115 minutes

In a near future where aging stops at 25, time is the new currency and the wealthy can live forever. When Will Salas inherits decades of life from a wealthy murdered man, he's pegged as the suspect by the corrupt Time Keepers, who enforce the law.

Cast: Amanda Seyfried, Justin Timberlake, Cillian Murphy, Vincent Kartheiser, Olivia Wilde, Johnny Galecki, Alex Pettyfer, Matt Bomer, Shyloh Oostwald, Yaya DaCosta, Ethan Peck, Toby Hemingway

    Genre: Action Sci-Fi & Fantasy, Sci-Fi Thrillers, Suspense, Sci-Fi & Fantasy

I really like revenge movies, both the 1978 & 2010 remake are at the top of the list of all time great revenge movies. Be sure and watch both of them as they have very different and original revenge deaths.

    I Spit on Your Grave

    2010 - UR - 108 minutes

In this horror remake, young writer Jennifer (Sarah Butler) finds life at her rented retreat perfect for working on her first novel. But her enthusiasm is shattered by her vicious rape. Now, the local thugs responsible will face an excruciating fate. Jennifer's attackers command developmentally disabled Matthew (Chad Lindberg) to kill her, but he fakes the murder, leaving the scarred writer to carry out a gruesome plot for revenge.

Cast: Chad Lindberg, Tracey Walter, Daniel Franzese, Sarah Butler, Jeff Branson, Andrew Howard, Rodney Eastman, Saxon Sharbino, Mollie Milligan

Genre: Slashers and Serial Killers, Cult Horror, Horror

    ==================================================

    I Spit on Your Grave

    1978 - NR - 100 minutes

When writer Jenny Hill rents a remote cabin, she's surprised to find the locals far too friendly. But what follows is decidedly unpleasant: After being violated and left for dead, she goes on her own spree of killing, mutilation and castration.

Cast: Camille Keaton, Gunter Kleeman, Anthony Nichols, Richard Pace, Eron Tabor

Genre: Slashers and Serial Killers, Cult Horror, Horror

Went out and bought this film, thought Justin Timberlake was surprisingly well cast and really enjoyed the concept, there is this suggestion that if you're wealthy enough then you can live forever, now this idea has been floating around for quite a while as an idea for a future dystopia but this was the best execution of it since the 1992 film Freejack.

Glad you liked this one, although the plot is not completely original the way it's presented is very unique and well done. I could easily put myself in the position of the main character and feel the stress of that life.

I won't be adding any more visible trailers as they as they really slow down my Adobe Flash Player when the topic gets to many of them and I'm betting I'm not the only one with this problem.

I have to break my silence but you just can’t rate 2011 The Thing prequel better than John Carpenter’s 1982 classic! Well actually you can because it’s your opinion, but for me it just doesn’t hold a candle

The 1980 version scared the hell out of me and the suspension of the blood test sequence nearly killed me. Granted, I was only around eight when I first watched it.

But ya, The Thing 2011 prequel is entertaining enough but lacked the scares. I’m still waiting to be scared by a CGI monster.

From your choice of movies you might like or have already seen 'Dredd 2012'?

The 1980 version scared the hell out of me and the suspension of the blood test sequence nearly killed me. Granted, I was only around eight when I first watched it.

But ya, The Thing 2011 prequel is entertaining enough but lacked the scares. I’m still waiting to be scared by a CGI monster.

From your choice of movies you might like or have already seen 'Dredd 2012'?
I liked all the versions of The Thing, and Dredd 2012 is in my list of Netflix movies waiting to be released.

I recently saw Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog starring Neil Patrick Harris. I liked it, I thought it was well done. It's a musical tragicomedy. I watched it on youtube, it's about 50 minutes in length. It's a pretty strange movie - but if you're into that sort of thing, and can deal with musicals, give it a shot.

If you decide to watch it on youtube, type [HD] into the search bar after the title - that should bring up a high quality version.

how you feel about what you've watched
I felt entertained by the Movie "Jack Reacher" and the TV show "Game of Thrones" the last of which was the 10th episode of season 3.

Anybody remember this TV series. I've just started watching the DVD's via Netflix and I have to say the writers had a great time with this series.

A friend had told me Arrow was good, and i was keeping that on the backburner, but I just recently started watching, and it is quite interesting. Its fairly important to see it from episode one in sequence since there appears to be a number of aspects you discover along the way.

Its about a guy that was in a boat accident and survived on an island, who turns into a hero-vigilante when he returns.

Arrow's got a great story. The acting and the script can be a bit mediocre, though.
But definitely worth watching with a beer and a pizza - and, unfortunately, is one of the better new series on TV.

It's on my instant queue. Finally on to season 5, but it's taken a back seat to Voyager for now.

I was always saddened by the drama behind the scenes of Sliders. Arturo being kicked off because he wasn't treated like the talent he really is (turned into a babbling idiot, then his planet explodes....). Wade being kicked off the show for a taller woman with bigger boobs (ala Kes vs 7 of 9) then left to spend the rest of her life in a Cromag prison being perpetually raped. Still, the show is kind of fun and I actually enjoy when they use completely nonsensical 'science' to explain something. Unintentional laughs are always welcome in my house.

I have already seen all the Voyager episodes about 3 or 4 times. The thing that nagged me about Sliders was they never seemed to wise up, even after sliding for a couple of years. Before I started watching Sliders I watched all the Babylon-5 episodes again and really enjoyed that.

Babylon 5 was one of my favorites when I was younger. My dad used to call it Babble On 5. This was a man who got upset when he missed an episode of Cops.

As much as I like the Law & Order type shows, I never could get into Cops. However I do like all the various CI shows.

If you've seen one drunken, shirtless redneck get carried off with his cutoff jean shorts around his ankles, you've seen 'em all.

Have you ever watched this series?

    Cleopatra 2525: The Complete Series

    2000 - NR - 5 discs

Cryogenically frozen since 2001, exotic dancer Cleopatra (Jennifer Sky) emerges from her icy cocoon in the 26th century to find an army of malevolent robots in command of the planet and humans banished to a subterranean existence. Joining forces with her liberators -- distaff resistance fighters Helen (Gina Torres) and Sarge (Victoria Pratt) -- Cleo helps lead the battle to reclaim Earth in this sci-fi action series.
Cast:Jennifer Sky, Gina Torres, Victoria Pratt, Patrick Kake, David Pressman, Mark Williams, Elizabeth Hawthorne, Rupert CocksDirector:John LaingGenres:Television, TV Sci-Fi & Fantasy
It's more fun than anything else, and I guess it got pulled after only one season. But I've enjoyed watching it. Gina Torres hasn't aged a day since then and her current series Suits. At least you can't tell by looking.

I haven't. An exotic dancer waging a war of rebellion against the robot holocaust. How bad could it be?

Just Watched "The World's End", a really cool film and a further installment of the on going partnership of Simon Pegg & Nick Frost, a great watch for fans of these guys, think here Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and Paul(absolutely love this film!).

The World's End Initial release: July 19, 2013 (United Kingdom) Director: Edgar Wright
    Running time: 109 minutes
Initial DVD release: November 19, 2013 (USA)
    Screenplay: Simon Pegg, Edgar Wright
Cast: Simon Pegg (Gary King), Nick Frost (Andy Knightley), Rosamund Pike (Sam Chamberlain), Martin Freeman (Oliver Chamberlain), Paddy Considine (Steven Prince)

    Spoiler alert:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
"20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hellbent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King, a 40-year old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their hometown and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub - The World's End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind's. Reaching The World's End is the least of their worries." For Gary King (Simon Pegg) and Andy Knightley (Nick Frost) it was supposed to be the ultimate reunion - one night, five friends, twelve bars. A boozy quest to the ‘Worlds End’ pub on which only the strongest will survive. Having the time of their lives, they’re ready to take on the world.. but tonight they might just have to save it. From the creators of ‘Shaun of the Dead’ and ‘Hot Fuzz’ comes a wildly entertaining thrill ride of outrageous humour and explosive action that will raise a glass to the apocalypse.

I loved 'In Time'. It cut so close to the bone and presented a very unnerving possible future. A bit like Blade-Runner in that same way. Now that would be Ok provided everyone looked like Sean Young/ tic

My favourite scene from Bladerunner where a good dose of humanity is delivered by a Replicant.

It's playing on the FX channel right now. I'm watching it again. I can just imagine myself living on the edge of running out of time every day. You either stay productive or you die.
