hi.

i recently acquired some magnets for a project i'm building, but the website i got them from doesn't have a specific magnet that i may need.

the website sells magnets that are polarized in basically two ways: axially and diametrically.

the way i'm hoping to find circumferentially polarized magnets. i got a picture here to describe what they have and what i'm looking for.

my question is: is there such a thing as a magnet that is polarized this way and where can i get it if such a magnet does exist?

Probably much cheaper and expedient to get a lot of run-of-the-mill magnets and assemble them however you wish.

i think you may be right.

in fact, the charge of the core of this type of magnet is not even what i'm concerned with, it's the outer face of the magnet that i'm worried about.

and the pull strength on this magnet doesn't even have to be strong because this will be on a horizontal plane, so gravity isn't much of an issue. i have two much stronger magnets to counteract that.

i was thinking of using strip magnets, bending them into a circle.

thanks for your input!
