As if any turn of phrase might be an adequate capstone to such a life.
I submit that this honorarium thread be placed in the Physics section.

Hip, hip, hooray for the life of Mr. Hawking!

I was some of the mud that got to sit up and look around.
    Lucky me. Lucky mud.

I'm glad to have existed in the brief time period that Stephen Hawking lived.

    My favourite Hawking quote:
"Next time someone complains that you have made a mistake, tell him that may be a good thing. Because without imperfection, neither you nor I would exist."

From what I gather, Hawking was not afraid to admit a mistake. I'm pretty sure he admitted a personal blunder about Black Holes not too long ago.

I forgot got to add that despite his debilitating illness, he had a great sense of humour. RIP Mr. Hawking

All that belongs to human understanding, in this deep ignorance and obscurity, is to be skeptical, or at least cautious; and not to admit of any hypothesis, whatsoever; much less, of any which is supported by no appearance of probability...Hume

People not yet born might attend his funeral. He is to be buried near to Newton, Darwin, Rutherford, Thomson in Westminster Abbey.
