    Hey everybody,

I know I haven't signed in for a long time. But I have kept in touch with MacGyver1968 by phone texts. As some of you may know about a month ago he had a severe heart attack leaving him with broken ribs from the CPR.

And now his mother for reasons unknown has decided to kick him out of the house with no place to go. He is still recovering from broken ribs and so hasn't been able to work. And as far as I know he is going to a shelter tomorrow.

He is in a pretty bummed out state as you can imagine anyone would be. He could use all the support of his friends right now that he can get. If you have his phone number let him know he isn't forgotten at the very least.

Any other type of support you can think of will be greatly appreciated.

babe knows how to contact him. But she might be travelling just now. She was getting ready and packing a day or so ago.

    I'll PM her.

I'm not in a position to offer Mitch anything but my best wishes and to keep my fingers crossed for him, but that's what I'll do.
I've known the guy for years and always appreciated his posts and his humour.
Next time you're in touch tell him I'll be thinking of him and wish him luck from me.

    Hi SG,

As the duck said, I'm not in a position to do much, but if you could let Mac know I'm wishing him all the best of luck for his future at what is obviously a very difficult time for him, I'd appreciate it.

You know, folks, Mac has his PM accessible from his profile, so it is possible to send him your concerns and wishes in person instead of tasking Seagypsy.

Thank you Seagypsy, for making us aware of MacGyver's circumstances. I had noticed that he was not posting much but had seen him posting on another forum so thought he just had more dialogues of interest elsewhere. Very sorry to learn of family dissension. The last thing he needs while recovering from a heart attack is more stress and I do hope matters get resolved before long. I have sent Mac a PM.

This is very bad news. He certainly deserves the opposite of this. I can't imagine being in his position. I wish him the best of luck.

How sure are we that he'll be able to access his PM's?

Seagypsy, will you PM his number for me please? Thank you.

Please tell him that I hope he fares well and that most importantly, he gets better and recovers. I am so sorry this has happened to him. He deserves so much better. Please give him my love.

I have passed on wishes from Duck and Demon, Ill pass on the rest in the waking hours. Your responses mean a lot to him. He said he will try to get to the library when he can to access the internet but won't be able to until then. I imagine he has a limited data plan considering his financial situation.

I hope MacGyver will be somewhat cheered by the number of wellwishers who know him only through the good humour and good sense of his posts on this and other forums. I add my best wishes to those already expressed.

I am really missing him and the cordial relation this person has with me. When I posted the news of my marriage on this forum he offered me a gift in his PM. I am grateful to his offer. He has shared with members his best time here (and will keep sharing INSHALLAH TALLAH)
And I pray for him to get better place to live as soon as possible.
SG it is really kind of you.

I talked to him for awhile last night and his spirits are good. He seems to know what he needs to do and I asked him to please keep me posted on how he is doing.

I will, of course ask his permission before I share anything he says.

John Galt, I agree that his spirits will be uplifted when he reads that people really do care.

Perhaps you could let him know that his signature line, Fixing shit that ain't broke, has always been my favourite signature line of any signature line of any member on any forum of the several I frequent. I smile every time I read it. And it has made me smile now.

It is a cute tag line for sure, and given that he works in computer repair, it is probably quite accurate as well. Many of the 'problems' with computer technology are not the machine but the operator.

Those are similar to a friend of mine who is a vet, he often diagnoses DMITO1 syndrome. Living in Norwich for 5 years I also heard that it was common for doctors on medical forms to write NFN2

His father was, his mother partly. His father's family came from Mandal. We went back in 1995 and met them. Beautiful country. Daughter was in Oslo a couple months ago. She lives and works in Switzerland.

I know no one is responding in kindness for my sake but I still do appreciate everyone looking out for him. Thank you Babe for calling him and checking in. I do think a cash pool would be a good idea.

Maybe a paypal account set up in his honor would be a good way to go. I have no idea... I've never done anything like this.

I am working on it. Just need to get it figured out. I don't think my husband would like it linked with one of our personal accounts. In fact I know that for a fact.

I will have to do some checking into Paypal for this type of thing, when I have some time.

Anyone who is more knowledgeable than I, please feel free. Mahalo.

    Macgyver?
I think I've seen that name on the Icke forums. Is it the same one? he also joined a forum on gangstalking. A heart attack? he's quite young, or looks young in his photo.

Thank you all for all the well wishes. I dropped by the library to check my email. Things are going better than I thought. Dallas does have quite a few difference services to provide for people like me...so things aren't too bad. I've actually met quite a few very nice people. Staying positive...things could be worse.

    Thanks

    Hi Mcgyver.

    Keep well.

I don't know if it was a gangstalking site but one on schizophrenia but I found whilst looking up gangstalking. The name was Mcguyver, probably someone else using same name.

    Talked to him last night.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think his living quarters is very nice.

He has found a little work.

I will send him some money.

Anyone else who wishes to, can get an address from me.

    Every little bit helps.

Let's get him on his feet.

From there, he has to figure this out, just like the rest of us, but a little boost....would help.

It has been almost three weeks since member MacGyver1968 was kicked out of his house.
Does anybody know whether or not his situation has improved (since the last update by member babe)?

He is doing ok. He is in a type of shelter and has found some work. Some of us have sent him monetary help, as in whatever we could. I talked to him about a week ago.

I do not understand why a parent would ever kick a child out of his/her house.
Fruit of the loins and all that.
We of the older generation are on the road to death, the next generation is still on the road to life.

It seems akin to plowing under a crop before it ripens with no time to plant a new one.

I agree with you however, MacGyver isn't exactly a child. He's a grown man. But I was always under the impression that his mother was very very old and that he was taking care of her. I know there was regular conflict between him and his adult sister who is also living at home but he didn't give any indication that his sister was involved directly or otherwise in the decision to kick him out..

    In other news.... UPDATE!!!

Mac has been keeping NF and I apprised of his situation. He has found day work and so is not completely without funds. He has also been attending some art classes provided by a homeless services organization downtown. He has completed his first painting, of which I will post a photo as soon as i figure out how to get it from my text messages to my hard drive. He is also taking photography lessons. His first painting is going to be in a show on the 28th and he is hoping to sell it. He recently had some of his photos exhibited at the library.

He has received monetary gifts from a couple of members of the forum here. He attempted to call and thank the one person who's identity is known and sent him $100 but got an answering machine. And to the individual who concealed their identity from him.... they sent $200 from UK. He asked me to find out who it was so that he could thank them.

So to those who sent him monetary gifts, he is very grateful and sends his sincerest thanks to you.

    You know who you are.

Sorry I didn't update sooner. He actually contacted me about a week and a half ago and let me know he had found day work. but I wasn't home. I was out and dealing with some drama of my own at the time and hours later when I finally got home i was pretty stressed out and just fell asleep, only to have to deal with the drama for another 2-3 days after. So logging into the forum escaped my mind.

Thank you very much for the update, seagypsy, and I wish you the best in resolving your own matters of drama. Life does seem to keep a ready supply on hand and it behooves us not to become too complacent. This forum certainly has a core of community which makes it rather unique. Give my regards to MacGyver as well, when next you have an opportunity.

Yes, yesterday I clicked on a post only to get some Adult Rated X game about some girl named Zelda. It was difficult to get rid of. I've had a few other pop-ups also, all when I'm on TSF.

Edit: I just now went to the Meaning of Death thread and this website showed up. 2nd time I've seen this one.

Have any of you looked into Ad Blocker? I've been using it for a couple months now, haven't seen any pop-ups coming from TSF.

It's not that sort of issue. It's more like the site had been hacked. This happened a while back on another forum and it was a malicious intention, nothing to do with my firewalls, Norton, and several other barriers. It was gaining access by means of the forum. When this is the only place where I experience pop-ups and the problem had not happened here prior, it rather narrows the scope of investigation. So far, it has not been happening on this log-in.

Yesterday, it was opening Firefox on a whole other window (not just a tab) each time I tried to log in or navigate between pages.

Thanks Seagypsy for updating everyone. Everything is going pretty well for the situation. I'm really enjoying the photography and art classes. Hopefully SG will post a couple of the images I sent her.

To those who sent money....thank you from the bottom of my heart. It's going to allow me to purchace a few items that I really need. (and no...I won't spend it on hookers and booze. )

I've met a couple of really nice people. Me and my friend Tyrone do alot of stuff together. We are both in the art class, and we spend our off days going to the Dallas museum of art, and other free fun places around downtown. There's actually lots of stuff to do for free....and it keeps me out of trouble.

I've also started my own little "ministry". It's called "The Outdoor Gentlemen's Society of Dallas". Ty and I collect extra food we get at Austin Street and feed it to the dope-fiends that live under the bridge. Most of them can't get into shelters...so we are trying help them out and earn Karma points. We also feed about 30 stray cats that live next to where we stay. They love the hell out of boiled eggs, and we get tons of them...so I save them for the kittehs. They now know my voice, so when I call "kitty, kitty kitty" they all come a running.

Best wishes to you all, and I'll try to stay in contact.

    Luv ya lots.

Hey, Mitch, you can be our 'crazy cat guy' to sort of balance out the sterotype that it is only women who do that type of 'community service.' Glad to hear that you are getting by, discovering new talents within yourself and helping those less fortunate than yourself.

A tip of the hat to you, sir. Have a great day. I am just starting my weekend, a bit tired as we were short-handed (suspected 'Hockey 'Flu...', lol) and now time to tend the horses. Spring is definitely trying to arrive.

Glad you are doing as well as you sounded the last we spoke! Great to hear you are working more!!

I found the cat story very funny as I have fed (started with 13) cats since kittenhood at the 9th hole at one of the golf courses for 9 years. Yes, when they smell me they come running up the fairway.....down to one now. Got all of them spayed and shots, but thy are still feral, and I, still very allergic to them. I know that seeing all those furry bundles running to you is a great feeling and gives you a bit of a giggle!

    Please keep in touch!

Just checking in. I have an art show tomorrow, and will hopefully sell two of my paintings. These are my first two paintings:

I like the first one better...but hopefully they will both sell.

I guess when people fall down it is usual for everyone to be sorry for them, however I am not sorry for you, I am proud of you. You see, falling down is one part of the equation, it is in getting up the pudding is proven. You are a stronger man today than yesterday even if the price was high, you have paid it.

I have a photo class today...Here are a few of images I'm submitting.

I'm still doing well. I've got a couple of job interviews next week...so things are moving along. The kittehs say "Hi"...although about half of them have disappeared. I think the lady from the SPCA picked some of them up and took them to the shelter.

I hope everyone is doing well. Will continue to check in from time to time at the library until I get a new phone that has internet

Hello, Mac! Great to hear from you and would love to see your work but as PhDemon has already mentioned, none of them are displaying properly, getting a 403 and "You don't belong here" message. Have you got them set to display publicly?

I'd recommend Photobucket, Mac. Makes it easy to share images with just a click.

This may sound weird, but if I stare at the top one long enough, I feel like I'm falling into it. Am I just crazy or are you some kind of warlock?

You are probably catching a bit of your own reflection on the computer screen. I was checking out the visuals as well after your comment.

The geometric patterns with variations of the same color give me a sense of dimensionality when I look long enough.

    Yes. I quite understand.

Horses are very aware of such variations and react similarly.

That could also be used as an analogy for 'life'.

Hope things continue to improve for you. I knew of the heart issue but hadn't heard about the housing thing till today. Condolences and best wishes, you'll be back ship shape again soon, I have no doubt.

Things are going great! I've got some apps out, so hopefully I'll be working soon at a real job, instead of doing day labor. My ministry is growing, more and more people are helping me collect food. We fed 12 this morning. This a good thing because the shelter changed its policy May 1st, requiring a government issued ID to get in, which left more people outside....so I have more "clients". So if you're religious, pray that we will continue to get a steady flow of food. If not, just send good karma.

The kittehs are doing well. The see me coming, and come a running. "Tiger" actually let me touch his head for 300mS this morning.

I finished my third painting and started my fourth. I think we have another show this week, so hopefully one or more will sell.

hope you are all doing well, and now I have the iPad I'll be able to check in moree

    love,

    Mitch
