I am currently suffering from a strained muscle in my back, which prevents me from doing anything normally, in the context of what I deem normal. (I will live)
(Yet I am not displeased with this feeling of discomfort (pain) or lack of mobility!)
Although I have my own feelings and thoughts on this subject, I would really like to hear from others and their own points of view of this subject!
Take this question in any context of pain as you will! PLZ _________________ Do you know why this cup is so useful? Because it is empty! |

Pain need not be “bad”. It is the body’s way of telling you that some part of the body needs urgent attention, so you can do something about it. If you didn’t feel pain, you wouldn’t know something was the matter – you might end up losing a vital organ or even your life. So, looked at from this point of view, pain can be “good”. _________________

on the other hand, someone with arthritis probably wouldn't mind the pain to go away, like by ticking the box "i know my joints are worn, but there's not much i can do about it" _________________ if you find this place too crowded or too confrontational, how about trying Philosophorum,

Why would I be avoiding something that I enjoy doing with great people?! _________________ Do you know why this cup is so useful? Because it is empty! |

This kind of pain is highly manageable. The sensation causes nervous tension, which you may feed back, or not. It can even be a pleasant (though distracting) experience to quell such pain with the mind... I think you know what I'm talking about.
Keep stretching. |

I didn't mean that work, I meant the other kind, like mowing the lawn or putting the screen in the storm door. |

This isn't the biology section. Either 1C3 misplaced it, or you are not giving the answers that he was expecting. How is, "It is the body’s way of telling you that some part of the body needs urgent attention" philosophical? _________________ Forget all that you know, achievements can only be accomplished by starting from nothing and selectively applying facts that are purely objective and absolutely necessary.

I am assuming that was directed towards me.
Yes, he said that to prevent a response like yours. _________________ Forget all that you know, achievements can only be accomplished by starting from nothing and selectively applying facts that are purely objective and absolutely necessary.

IC3 said I could take it in any context, so I took it in the most common-sense direction. What’s wrong with that? _________________

I'm not insulting your post (as you may have found, due to the lack of anger in your response); rather I am only saying that due to this post's placement, it demands an answer unlike your own, or others. Yes, one response regarding biology is acceptable, though when all but one of the rest are of the same misguided context, it annoys me. _________________ Forget all that you know, achievements can only be accomplished by starting from nothing and selectively applying facts that are purely objective and absolutely necessary.
