I think the difference between images and graphics is that they areinterchangeable terms in the computer world. They could be jpg, bmp, gif (animated graphic). _________________ Poster generator |

Add information :
Images : The term image is also used in place of the term digital image, which is an optically formed duplicate or other reproduction of an object formed by a lens or mirror.
Graphic : Refers to any computer device or program that makes a computer capable of displaying and manipulating pictures. _________________ Poster generator |

In context of software, web, design, etc.
An image is a "picture", a non-metaphorical representation of something, perhaps a photo, drawing, or 3D render. Its source is usually real world. It is meant to be looked at. Often it will have a frame around it.
A graphic is a visual element of the page or interface. A button, or a border, a pointer or logo, even something ornate but not normally set apart as content in itself.
Images may be treated as graphics and vise versa.
In context of hardware
Image is what a monitor displays.
Graphics is the preparation of images. |
