The Pursuit of Happiness - The Downward Road (1993)

A couple of years ago, I somehow set a switch set wrongly in my iTunes, eventually corrected the error, and then did something reckless that ended up dumping a portion of my library in the trash. Since then, I've had a directory set aside where I towed that wreck, and I've been picking it apart whenever I feel up to it. Tonight I picked this album out because I haven't listened to it in all that time. I was looking at the three songs from Love Junk I'd downloaded and thinking, "I know I have more of this somewhere."

Song currently playing: "Love Theme From TPoH"
On deck: "Forbidden World", "But I Do"

Yeah it is but I figured that now we have a Art & Culture forum this would be a better place for it.

The Goo Goo Dolls. On deck is Led Zepplin (check out House of the Holy - it's the best album)

Deep Fried And Sanctified by The Reverend Billy Wirtz

A very funny and adult comedian. Similiar to George Carlan but not the same at all except great humor if you like adult type of humor.

Lay Lady Lay by Bob Dylan

Lay, lady, lay, lay across my big brass bed
Lay, lady, lay, lay across my big brass bed
Whatever colors you have in your mind
I’ll show them to you and you’ll see them shine

Lay, lady, lay, lay across my big brass bed
Stay, lady, stay, stay with your man awhile
Until the break of day, let me see you make him smile
His clothes are dirty but his hands are clean
And you’re the best thing that he’s ever seen

Stay, lady, stay, stay with your man awhile
Why wait any longer for the world to begin
You can have your cake and eat it too
Why wait any longer for the one you love
When he’s standing in front of you

Lay, lady, lay, lay across my big brass bed
Stay, lady, stay, stay while the night is still ahead
I long to see you in the morning light
I long to reach for you in the night
Stay, lady, stay, stay while the night is still ahead

One of my favourite tunes Cosmic. I know this is probably pretty lame, but Duran Duran (believe it or not) does a pretty good version of Lay Lady Lay Cool

Saw them at an InFlames concert last year and found one of their CDs last week, pretty cool stuff.

I am currently listening to Jeff Buckley- Last Goodbye.

Next, I am going to continue the mellow music by playing Coldplay- Warning Sign

Possibly some Tracy Chapman or Indigo Girls next.

I like Tracy Chapman too. I haven't listened to Coldplay though. I'm so old. Can you compare Coldplay to something else that I might know? I like a lot of rock, classic and new. I like a lot of reggae, especially older stuff. I like a lot of music, I've just been a little out of touch lately.
