Greetings,
I'm not sure who the Moderator of this section is (assuming there is one..) but I think it would be a good idea to make a Sticky here listing some useful sites that often come in handy. Back at Sciforums we had one going and it was quite the compilation. Just a thought.

Lots of nice stuff there SkinWalker, and thanks. I must admit however, that I was thinking more along the lines of Useful links with respect to this Computer Science section.
Still, ty.

True... I just don't have a lot of those kinds of links. I usually just google key-words like "shields up" when I want to find one.

Perhaps this thread might be better served in the Links sub-forum. I forgot about that one. But I thought a thread that created a massive list of links in various catagories would be useful on a science forum.

SkinWalker: I'm working on culling up a good list. I should be able to get it up by tomorrow (1:22 pm EST here right now). It's going to be Computer-specific, and pretty thorough.

Edit: I moved the data from glaucon's post to sheppard's, since sheppard was the original author who compiled the list. I don't think glaucon's intention was to plagerize the other list, but just wanted to share the links with us here.

I'm of the mind that no harm is done if glaucon & sheppard agree and since the list is now in sheppard's post, I'll leave it up to him to decide whether or not to leave it on The Science Forum. It is a wonderful list of links and I've used several already.

The following was originally posted by Sheppard in another forum. I've updated the thread so he can continue to get the credit, but thanks go to glaucon for sharing it with us. We still need to add some links in the sections near the bottom, such as GIMP etc. -- SkinWalker
