I apologize if this is against the rules, but I couldn't find information on this type of situation in the FAQ or Index of the site...so I figured I'd go ahead, and see what you guys think.

My site is 'on theme' with this category, so I hope that helps to blunt any knee jerk 'spam' reactions. I wanted to introduce my site and ask for people to look it over and give us some (hopefully, constructive) criticism.

Trek Passions is the name of my site, and it is for Sci Fi lovers. [It is 100% free, so this isn't a sales pitch.]

Basically, it is a hybrid social networking and online dating site, with all the basic features of most large sites in both of those categories. The site has been online for a few years now, so I'm not asking you to look at a shell site or anything like that.

While the site is a 'community' site built around the Sci Fi theme, the underlying idea and hope, is that it makes it easier for people who share something in common (ie. a love of Sci Fi) to meet, make new friends...and yes, even date.

I hope this type post is acceptable, and I look forward to comments on how we can make the site better.

Thanks,
Michael

not for me to decide whether this is spam , but you're probably ok
