I have registered on some other forums, namely sciforums and science forums, the original and I have to say that I enjoy this forum MUCH more than the other ones (even though nobody wants to comment on my "Hypothesis" Sad ). What experiences, good or bad, have you guys had on some other science orientated forums? Those other forums feel like big department stores while this one feels like a small family business, if you know what I mean.

Yes I agree, this site is a charming little gem, a marevellous niche! Razz.

As for your "hypothesis" I believe that on other forums they are up theirselves, and not wanting to go with a new idea. Oh well never mind eh. Thats why I don't post my theories for numerous reasons along the same lines.

it's often a fine line between a forum that doesn't attract enough posts to stay alive and a forum that's too big to take it all in

for the moment this forum fills the happy middle ground
