Can someone provide me with a model of how Sulphurous acid looks like in its chemical bonding? I know its chemical formula is H2SO3 but I need to draw its structure out complete with how it bonds together. Does anyone has any idea how it bonds together? I would greatly appreciate the help.

Two separate structures have been proposed for sulfurous acid. There is the symmetrical structure, in which all three oxygen atoms alone are bonded to the central sulfur atom. In the unsymmetrical model, the sulfur atom is bonded to the three oxygens and also one hydrogen atom.

See details here:

how does that work? a sulfur atom can't possibly bond with all three oxygen atoms at once, let alone adding a hydrogen atom. Covalent bonds cant happen like that.

in sulphuric acid it bonds with 4 oxygen atoms, 3 should be a piece of cake
