Hello,
I can see that you get a lot of this, any help is appreciated.
Please be patient. I'm not good at science at all.
I'm researching a story and am wondering...

Would Area 51 have any huuuuge satellite dishes? The kind that you can stand up in?
Would they have a different name from the teeny ones people use for TV?
Would they only receive information?
Do they also transmit data?
Do they transmit all kinds of data? Signals to radio, tv, etc...
Is there a good resource for understanding how they work?
(when I use google or wiki I only get the satellite dishes that people use for their TVs)

Thank you!! =)

I have found How stuff works for the small satellites, anyone know what those huge ones are called? What the government would use?
