Hi,

I used to be Singularity in a former defamed forum.

I always used to check the latest posts there to save my time.

Any ideas how to do that here ?

- Singularity

PS> I have heard that there is a deluge of members landing here from that forum. So if anyone knows me let me know.

Very sad i couldnt get my Id here

The way I do it is to log on and click on "View posts since last visit."

The blue envelops mean new posts; the orange envelops mean new in a popular thread; the pale orange and the white envelops both mean no new posts.

*If that's what you mean.*

Doesn't play out well with Internet Explorer for some reason, though.

yes - for instance, you access the site, close down your browser, then re-open it

on your second visit you'll notice that everything has been marked as read, whereas it wasn't on your first

Or...you could just click 'science forum index' at the top...that's what I do.

i think you misunderstand me, that's what i usually do as well, but on one occasion i was interrupted browsing unread posts and closed down the browser

when i re-opened it, all sites showed as read, much to my annoyance

I noticed that too. Annoying as all get out. Not all forums do that. There might be a box to check in the forum software that would eliminate that problem.

Everyone, quick, run for your motherfracking lives. I was on Sciforums when Singularity was on his maddening (and ridiculous) posting spree. He posts about utter nonsense. Here are his topics so far:

Illuminati
NASA conspiracies
Pseudoscience topics
and related subjects thereof.

Everyone at SciForums was convinced he was a troll, and now he stops here. Do not argue or discuss anything with him, as nothing you say gets through. Trust me, I've tried.

EDIT: On the off-chance that it's merely coincidence, and this person is not the infamous Singularity I've grown to loathe, then I offer my apologies.

Just click on Science forum forum index and you'll go to the page with a bunch of envelopes.

Yes, change the search option to posts instead of threads. Then search for the most usual word in opening posts. You'll have to figure out that yourself.

Alternatively, develop an algorythm to convert the content into an RSS-compatible process and you'll be ready to rock and roll. And you'll probably make loads of money off the royalties.

I'm full of good ideas.
