This is what happens when I have too much time to think....I quote this from an internet article:
Einstein had come face to face with the fundamental paradox of quantum mechanics: why the laws that apply so precisely to the subatomic realm do not appear to carry over into the domain of everyday things.
The weirdness associated with quantum mechanics seems to disapppear when particles are observed or sensed.
I've often heard people talk about the possibility that the laws of physics may only pertain to our universe. So could a particle at the quantum level be in, or border on, another universe? I'm suggesting that the quantum level may really be a gateway or border between our universe and another universe or dimension(s) for that matter. If so then I wonder what kind of affect another universe could have on ours. For instance, could gravity exist in a bordering universe and affect particles in ours? |

Interesting,
It depends where you put the definition of 'universe', if you accept the current definition then the small medium and large are all part of the one universe, in which case you should think about the term 'laws of nature' and rename them 'laws of the middle world' quantum is then 'laws of the small world'.
IN my personal view therefore 'laws of nature' and 'universe' are, by their current definitions incongruous.
Does this really belong in Psuedoscience?
I'd rather see it in 'Astronomy, Philosophy, or physics'
(Never thought I'd ever offer to move something out of PS!). |

Megabrain...I chose Pseudo because it was just a thought coupled with the fact that I don't have a real good grasp on the scientifics of Astronomy, Cosmology, & Physics. However, I thoroughly enjoy reading about them but I lack the necessary acumen that would allow me to defend my thought, which would surely come under fire if I was to speculate on the truth of such an idea. I find Pseudo a safe haven for jotting down a thought and most people respect the no flame aspect. I wouldn't feel right sticking a topic like this in a forum where I can't defend it. If you feel like moving it then go ahead. This post will be my disclaimer. |
