Imagine far in the future

A Timemachine or a Supercomputer which is capable of giving history of a single particle from big bang to present.Either way it is possbile for future human civilization to recreate every one of us brain structure fraction of second before our death.so they can recreate us.we live happily ever after with our loved ones.

why should they do it.

To me. any intelligent species in the universe will have three destiny

1)Ensure survival of the species.
2)Find answers to questions like, how the universe came to existence, why are we here....i have no dobut in my mind the result will end up meaningless(1 and 2 are inter linked)
3)because the secound destiny end up with meaningless.only think they could do meaningful is recreate all the living things which had Consciousness(To me they are optionless.i think they have to do it.from seeing people suffering)

having said that i am very much aware of the fact the difficulty they would face by doing so like energy, technology, security, moral(need to do it).let us presume because they are far more advanced civilzation they will sort out all the problem we could imagine and problem we couldn't

I'll see you guys in the heaven...

I guess they shouldn't assume everyone wants to live forever, for one thing...

I don't understand people who call this type of perpetuation "living forever." You still die. No matter how exact a copy they make of you, it is still a separate individual. It's not like your consciousness warps into the new body. Your experience ends, and someone else's experience begins.

if you go this way.the person who was ten years back wasn't you.every single cell in your body has been replaced.but symmetry in physics tells us.if you repalce a electron from the system with another elctron. it will behave same.there is no slim or fat electron.all are same.

But you're not talking about slowly replacing every particle in your body one at a time. You're talking about re-doing the whole she-bang. I'm all for finding a way to maintain my cells for years to come, but that's a different story from making a copy of yourself.

it is not copy.it's more like cut and paste.your old copy will not exist in the future.it just recreateing.like take needed atoms(h,o,fe,cl)and put them together in the chemical form once we were in.unless ofcourse you don't put soul in to your old copy.it's still you, because of symmetry in physics
