Not sure if we're still doing this, but...in case we still are...

If the person who wins doesn't want to be moderator (like I'm not sure if Ophiolite wants to be moderator), then the person who has the second largest number of votes...

Being moderator suggests one ought to be moderate. Laughing
I'm not very good at that. Confused

Cool...thanks for the nomination. I'd do it...and use humor as my sword.

That's a good list. Hard to decide... but I voted for Mac. I think he's got the right attitude for the job.

Of course, I would be okay with any of the list as a mod.

Cheers

I think the moderator job would be kind of like being a janitor or garbage collector, except without the money or the prestige. Yeah, I know, it's just sour grapes because I'm losing. Very Happy

I don't think I'd do such a good job moderating the <religion and psuedoscience> forum; I'd probably delete every post. Twisted Evil

It's not the winning that counts, it's the taking part....... I know, a complete load of bollocks. At least you made it onto the list.

Here in Dallas, we just finished a nasty run-off election for mayor, that was filled with below-the-belt attack ads. So in the spirit of that!....I officially launch my attack ad campaign against my running mates. Very Happy

Just as real political attack ads should not be believed by anyone, neither should anyone believe these. Very Happy

marnixR:

(Deep ominous announcer voice): Are you thinking about voting for marnixR? ....because marnixR hates puppies (show picture of a really cute puppy) ...that's right HATES PUPPIES!....really...really hates puppies. Do you love puppies?...I know I sure do. So vote for Mac....'cause he loves puppies.

Harold14370:

(Again with the Deep ominous announcer voice) Harold14370 is running for moderator....but in the 4th grade, he was caught with a cheat sheet for his social studies test in his pocket. How can you possibly trust someone to hold up the integrity of the rules of the board, from someone so willing to bend the rules himself. So vote for Mac....he never got caught cheating.

more to come

<political satire...detected>

MacGyver, that's a lie. We didn't even have social studies back in those days. It was arithmetic, and how did you find out about that?

I wasn't going to mention it but now that the mudslinging has started.... All of my opponents are suspected to be members of the communist party.
