Is it ok if I drink two different types of medicine like one for coughing the other for running nose, but at the same time? Or do I have to drink it one at a time Any help would be appreciated _________________ "A man's ethical behavior should be based effectually on sympathy, education, and social ties; no religious basis is necessary. check the active ingredients, if they're the same then you cannot. But you may be able to take them together. What's in each? _________________ There is not enough love & kindness in the world to permit us give it away to imaginary beings.

Erm. One of it is Robitussin the other is Dimetapp >.>
Active Ingredients for Robitussin:
Dextromethorphan HBr, USP 10 mg;
Guaifenesin, USP 100 mg
Active Ingredients for Dimetapp:
Brompheniramine maleate, USP
1 mg; Phenylephrine HCI, USP 2.5 mg
So I'm guessing I can take them both one at a time? _________________ "A man's ethical behavior should be based effectually on sympathy, education, and social ties; no religious basis is necessary. Dextromethorphan and bromopheniramine have a drug interaction causing a CNS depressant effect, not sure if that would warrent avoiding taking both. They are sometimes combined but cause drowsiness.
Maybe talk to your pharmacist. _________________ There is not enough love & kindness in the world to permit us give it away to imaginary beings.
