Is it ok if I drink two different types of medicine like one for coughing the other for running nose, but at the same time? Or do I have to drink it one at a time Question Any help would be appreciated Smile

check the active ingredients, if they're the same then you cannot. But you may be able to take them together. What's in each?

Erm. One of it is Robitussin the other is Dimetapp >.>

Active Ingredients for Robitussin:
Dextromethorphan HBr, USP 10 mg;
Guaifenesin, USP 100 mg

Active Ingredients for Dimetapp:
Brompheniramine maleate, USP
1 mg; Phenylephrine HCI, USP 2.5 mg

So I'm guessing I can take them both one at a time?

Dextromethorphan and bromopheniramine have a drug interaction causing a CNS depressant effect, not sure if that would warrent avoiding taking both. They are sometimes combined but cause drowsiness.

Maybe talk to your pharmacist.
