Hi, my name is Randall. For me, science/physics is a hobby/passion and one I love to explore visually as an artist. I am both physically & mentally disabled so I will often lurk & learn more than take part in discussions, though on my good days I likely will join in a few.
Here is one of my artworks so you can see what I create...

Thanks, I am doing better these days (last two weeks). I am very susceptible to loud noise (horns, extreme stereos, etc) and have finally gotten the decent neighbors to understand what it does to me and got the police finally to deal with the bad ones (mostly street gang members). When I get relative quiet I can focus halfway decent but under a barrage of loud noise my brain jams up and can't focus on much of anything, even my art. _________________ I am a Weaver of Light & Illusion - though disabled, I walk amongst the stars, weave new stars of my own and even explore new universes. |

If you don't mind me asking? Are you a functional autistic? Exactly what is the form of your mental disability. I find it very interesting, there was a story of a girl on the news, she had never spoken a word a day in her life, but when provided with a computer she could communicate perfectly through text. The human mind is amazingly complex. |

Yes, I have Aspergers (essentially autism without the speech impediment) as well as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and I go through major periods of depression. I was also in a nasty accident 16 yrs ago also, crushed my pelvis & spine and major head trauma (crushed under a pickup & a car on top of it). Like the girl in the story and many other autistic stories I've read, I too have an affinity for patterns, which I consider a blessing in that it helps me create (never had an art lesson, just instinct to me). _________________ I am a Weaver of Light & Illusion - though disabled, I walk amongst the stars, weave new stars of my own and even explore new universes. |

Oh, and no I don't mind if people ask about my disabilities. To me they are just a fact of life, hurdles to overcome. _________________ I am a Weaver of Light & Illusion - though disabled, I walk amongst the stars, weave new stars of my own and even explore new universes. |

Thanks!
Yep, I'm lucky in that it was sand under me and not the asphalt highway or I would have been little more than a grease spot. _________________ I am a Weaver of Light & Illusion - though disabled, I walk amongst the stars, weave new stars of my own and even explore new universes. |

Hi Randall
Good to meet you
I'm known as Selene but also Minxy (but the moderators didn't like her, she was too naughty) but my real name's Hayley, but shhh don't tell anyone!
I sometimes annoy people on here although i try hard not to,
but i won't annoy you because you're cool and i like your art.
I do art too, mostly with pencil and brush, but I've just discovered mandalas, great for meditation!
About the noise. What about wearing some headphones when the neighbors get too noisy ( i used to have neighbors who liked playing drum & base until 4am, the police are still searching, but they'll never find them! )
I got some great headphones that blocked out external noise.
Peace was bliss!
Welcome to the forum

LOL... Good to meet ya Hayley. I too am one who tries not to irritate others but often seem to some. I just love playing *Penultimate Antagonist far too much to allow myself... LOL
I used to airbrush (my preference) so I'm looking forward to a top of the line stylus/tablet someday. Then I'll be able to go back to freehand and do my fabulous fictional nebulae again. Right now I'm painting with a trackball.
* Penultimate Antagonist (second to last devils advocate, so to pun, I mean speak) _________________ I am a Weaver of Light & Illusion - though disabled, I walk amongst the stars, weave new stars of my own and even explore new universes. |

Welcome. I'd love to read your time stuff, but I'd have to listen to you verbally to pay attention. I have my own ideas on the same thing. I love the art though . _________________ "Victory is in trying. Defeat is in not". - SVRDW. |

Thanks Chaotic! Don't have audio or video yet but someday. Love your handle... I tend to think of the universe as a form of Chaotic order. _________________ I am a Weaver of Light & Illusion - though disabled, I walk amongst the stars, weave new stars of my own and even explore new universes. |

If you think about it, most of what exists in the universe today, originated from very chaotic elements. The order in the universe comes from what has survived all the chaos. Observation of this through the centuries began studying the order within the universe and now theoretical physics is trying to understand the chaos that made it what it is today. Its through the left over elements of the chaos, asteroids & comets for example, that we have come to understand how planets probably formed from countless debris impacting and eventually building up into planets. The birth of stars is a very chaotic event, though artistically I prefer wondrous beings known as Solar Mages, weaving the elements together to create a new star...
