How to learn a foreign language well on a fast track? Spend time in the country to which this language is native. I don't see much value in trying to go to England to learn German. You'd obviously go to either Germany, Austria, or, if you must, the German part of Switzerland. Most importantly, immerse yourself into an environment that prohibits you from speaking anything but the language you are trying to learn. For example, as a native English speaker, it makes no sense to go abroad to learn German and in your free-time only hang out with people who speak English. A lot of students tend to do this, wasting their time (and money).
