How do you think men became the dominant half of the species?
You'd think that the women would have evolved to be the largest and strongest like they do in so many other species.
They protect the children
in the early days they used to do everything men did
how did this happen? _________________ Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it kills all its pupils ... - Louis Hector Berlioz |

Male dominance likely evolved long before humans evolved. Our ancestors' social ecology was probably similar to that of the chimpanzee, where males stay in their natal group and guard their territory with other related males, while females leave their natal group when they become sexually mature. The real question is how this type of social ecology evolved compared to the bonobos where the females are the dominant gender. _________________ Man can will nothing unless he has first understood that he must count on no one but himself; that he is alone, abandoned on earth in the midst of his infinite responsibilities, without help, with no other aim than the one he sets himself, with no other destiny than the one he forges for himself on this earth.
