Type into google "Download Zone alarm"
There is a very good free version. _________________ The hand of time rested on the half-hour mark, and all along that old front line of the English there came a whistling and a crying. You can either download Comodo or Zone Alarm firewall since they are available freely. Anyway I am currently using Comodo and I think it works fine with my AVG. _________________ Poster generator |

| Spend $40 and get the best firewall you can buy: a router. Software walls cause no end of trouble: conflicts, drain on resources and ram, etc. |

Windows xp service pack two comes with a free software firewall which is good enough for most people, it only blocks incoming not outgoing though so if you want more security get a dedicated netgear firewall router.
As Cshark said other software firewalls drain your resources and ram. _________________ “It’s no wonder that truth is stranger than fiction. Fiction has to make sense.” - Mark Twain |

| The nice thing about a hardware firewall is that it is simple and very reliable/safe. If you want to set up a home lan (we have five systems here at my place), even the XP firewall has to be turned off ot tweaked with...a pain. One router keeps everyone out, lets the intranet systems see each other, and best of all, it takes no resources away from any machine. Nice! |
