Thought i was a devil in english but ive never really written a presentation in the language before now. Im not sure if i should use "Thesis" or "Abstract"? Its only supposed to be 10 minutes long so will problem statement suffice maybe? In my native tongue we just write everything as a "problem statement" so what really are the big differences? Im guessing the length but no idea to be honest

Edit: Title was supposed to be (Difference between "Thesis" & "Abstract"?) but it wont let me edit it, if a moderator could fix it then remove this sentance id appreciate it.

A thesis is what you're going to argue in your presentation. It should be controversial (as in not obvious or a statement of plain fact) and arguable.

An abstract is a brief summary of what you're are going to argue, your major points, and conclusion. A good abstract should include all the pertinent information from your presentation, and avoid cumbersome figures. It is odd to begin a presentation with an abstract, these are usually included before long written works to give an idea to readers if they want to go through the 10+ pages that follow.

You're probably looking for a thesis. It's not always best to explicitly state your thesis, rather start broad and work naturally towards your thesis in the introduction.

So if i got you right, an abstract is a thesis just abit bigger - as it includes a much greater work assignment or paper?

An abstract is more like a summary of the paper, the paper would then still contain a thesis in its introduction.

I thought the summary was called "Conclusion"? *confused*

Abstract is in the beginning. Something like, "In this experiment, we explored X, Y, and Z since past evidence suggests A and B. We used the N technique to separate the variables, and early results imply 1, 2, and 3."

Just a quick "here's what we did, and a brief overview of what we found" at the very start of the paper. That is the abstract.

These sites seems to lay it out pretty well:
