Well I think it's a bit strange, but everytime I eat breakfast during the morning I start to feel like having diarrhea in my stomach. Not only does this happens to me but sometimes my friends experience the same thing. So can anyone explain to me why this is happening so I can prevent it somehow? Also my kitchen is sanatary so I don't think bacteria can be the cause of it. And yeah usually after I eat breakfast I fall alseep again lol >_>. Any help would be appreciated _________________ "A man's ethical behavior should be based effectually on sympathy, education, and social ties; no religious basis is necessary. Well thats not exactly a lot to go on, the best bet is to go see a doctor, it could be the result of manythings, irritable bowel syndrome springs to mind, but there could be many other reasons, go to the docs dude _________________ CAPTAINCAVEMAN

Something tells me you wrote this while eating breakfast.
Anyways,
What do you eat? What do you do while you eat?
I would suggest concentrating more on chewing your food and less on the tube (or flat screen, if that's what you have). Sit straight while you eat and take it slow. This type of thing you speak of can happen if you are too careless while eating; especially in the morning.
Oh yea, do you eat right when you wake up or do you wait a while?
P.S.
Contaminate (the antonym of "sanitize") your kitchen.
You may be sick for a day but you will build a stronger immune system.
By the way, I'm not a qualified doctor so I have no authority on the matter. As the Buddha says: "Help yourself" _________________ "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." -- John 8:32

You might be allergic to something in your breakfast. Something similar happens when I eat bananas. The gluten thing mentioned could be one of those things. Try to vary your breakfast and see what foods don't produce those results. Alternatively, go to a doctor and have him test you for allergies. _________________ "Gullibility kills" - Carl Sagan |

I was thinking that too. Seeing as your friend experiences the same problem, it may be something in the food. _________________ "There is no knowledge, that is not power" - Ralph Waldo Emerson. |

NO, NO, and NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do not get tested for allergies. It will screw up your life and boost your ego and sense of individuality like nothing else. You'll go to someone's house for dinner and be like "Oh, I can't eat that because I'm allergic" in a high pitch whinny, voice. It makes you feels special but in reality is quite the opposite.
An allergy is the body overreacting to a chemical it has no reason overreacting to. Simply tell it to go away and, if your mind is strong enough, it will.
An intolerances is another subject but, I highly doubt you have an intolerance and just now started noticing it.
I remember those days when I felt so special with my apple allergy. Everyone was like "what the hell, I've never heard of anyone allergic to apples". Let's see the allergy test says I'm allergic to pears, the entire walnut family, shellfish, lettuce, tomatoes, should I pull out the chart and read more. Yeah, long story short I got sick of it (pardon the pun) and the allergies went away. Now I eat whatever I feel like. Don't become the victim. _________________ "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." -- John 8:32

I have experienced intestinal issues before after eating breakfast. It's usually do to eating too early, not paying attention (multitasking), poor posture, and sometimes the type of food.
Now days I usually don't eat till about three hours after waking and it seems to work out well. Not to say you should wait that long. Maybe spend a few minutes doing some push-ups or something after you wake up to get the blood flowing, and have good posture while you eat.
Play around with it, if something seems to help than stick with it for a bit and see what happens.

i know someone who developed an intolerance for gluten in his early 20s, and another whose intolerance seems to run in the family - here's her comment on the issue of gluten intolerance :
| Quote: |
| It's actually not an allergy because it's not a histamine related reaction. It's both an autoimmune disorder and a genetic one as well. It's autoimmune because your own body's antibodies attack your upper small intestine when you eat gluten. This results in the flattening of the villi of your small intestine. Flattening of the villi result in mal-absorption which results in all kinds of problems. This is why it is so hard to diagnosis and why it is under diagnosised. The symptoms are highly varied. Recent genetic research suggests it's a lot more common then we ever thought. 1 in 133 in America. More in European countries. A genetic screening showed the gene for celiac disease was present in almost half of the American population. That doesn't mean that they have it, because it can be latent for some time. It's triggered by a stress event, disease, or environmental trigger. But there are different levels of intolerance. Some people have more antibodies than others. I'm actually a third generation celiac. My mother and grandfather have it. |
for anyone interested there's also Celiac.com for further info _________________ if you find this place too crowded or too confrontational, how about trying Philosophorum,

yeah...
If that's true than the gluten problem is actually an allergy. An intolerance would be something like lactose where the body is actually incapable of dealing with it. Or a poison which does direct damage to the body. An autoimmune response is the body hurting itself which would be an allergy.
If you're curious...
Allergy:
hypersensitivity to a substance: unusual sensitivity to a normally harmless substance that, when breathed in, ingested, or brought into contact with the skin, provokes a strong reaction from the person’s body.

What is funny (and I'm sure you will disagree) is the gluten allergy is very much a fad these days. It's no coincidence that most people who have "gluten intolerance" are also vegans.
