Should we give them a chance? Labour has decimated our countries. The tories sold a lot off to pay debts so now we are at the mercy of other countries as we will only go downhill from here. Our country has been on the fritz since World War II. Instead of helping re-bulidng Britain the Labour party decided to put a lot of cash into rebuilding Germany and other countries and did the USA help? No. All they gave was the Truman doctirne and that was just a rouse to keep our mouths shut and do as they said.

I think we should give the Lib's a chance, they have never been in power and I think it would be worth doing something to help them run the country. They may not have much experience doing so, but with that rich folk will panic and their capital has to go somewhere if they abandon Wnglish companies, I'm not saying they will. But that money may well come to the middle and lower class. We should give them a chance because the tories and Labour have betrayed us time and time again. I was for tories but David Cameron is not exactly 'on our side'. Once a tory always a tory, he's all about the rich, if they get rid of one tax they'll put in another big one in its place. Remember the old council tax that they put on us? As in how many people lived in a house or place of residence that increased the tax we had to pay tenfold?

Labour got rid of this but there are now more 'stealth' taxes that make up more than the tory's charges were. Labour have too many 'community' offices where there are a huge amount of jobs that aren't needed. Have you actually been to your local council office and seen all the desks? One for community worker advisor (what the hell? Just ask someone whos worked there longer than you for help!). Another for community care assistant? A care assistant to a carer? Its not neccesary, most places they are all sat doing nothing all day, is this what our taxes go to pay?

Thats one of the many reasons why I think we should give the Lib Dems a chance.

And what makes you think Liberal Democrats are any better? You may ask? Theres only one way to find out. We might as well try something that may work than keep letting the same mistakes being repeated over and over. We have the obligation to future generations to make this worls as good as possible.

And the Marshal plan you would sweep under the carpet?

I am sure Prime Ministers Gladstone, Asquith and Lloyd George would react to that statement with some surprise were they still alive.
You may wish to consider that a better reason for voting Liberal Democrat is that their policies, going back to the early 1800s when they transformed themselves from Whigs, have been both thoughtful and radical. Radical rather than reactionary would be a good idea round about now.

Up late Ophiolite? Yes I think the Americans should have gone ahead with that and us used their money, after all the US sold supplies to the Germans in WWI and WWII, yes in WWII as well (prior 1942 of course). We have to give the Lib's a chance we should evaluate their leading abilities as both the two main parties are not particularly benefiting the country at the moment. Major before and Blair after from then nothing has got better for us. Are you knowledgable about Scottish parliment?

No. Early. I am in the Middle East at the moment.

They did go ahead with it (The Marshall Plan). They rebuilt the economies of western Europe in the immediate post-war years.
