On Mars there's a people who does not use 10 as a base for their arithmetic.
The base the use is equivalent with the number of fingers they have.
A Martian says thet he has 43 sons and 52 daughters. Thus I have 125 children he continues.
How many fingers have the Martians got?

∴ n = 7
