no. Vampires are merely a creation of Brahm Stoker. The vampire myth cames from Brahm Stokers idea that he got from a real life person named Vlad the Impaler who did many horrible things to his enemies. The Vampire myth has grown over time of course.

True. There are now many forms of vampires which shows that when the myth is transferred by mouth, it got distorted. You have ones that turn into bats, ones that completely drain their victims and some that keep coming back.

It is too morphed to be plausible.

Yes

But real vampires don't literally suck your blood, instead they suck out your life force and zap your energy leaving you feel drained and exhausted.

I've met quite a few of them!

If, by vampire, you mean " An Individual who acquires blood from another’s body without the donor’s consent, with the intent to consume the blood"

Yes, they do exist. They are sick...mentally sick people.

If you mean a mythical reanimated corpse or demon, who's survival requires doing the same above defined acts? Most probably not!

Nothing like Sesame Street. I saw a documentary about Vampires (non-mythical ones) and almost all of them drink blood for sexual pleasure. When the narrator said that I was quite take aback. I thought it was because it tasted nice or something...the sexual part, I am yet to comprehend.

I think the narrator is confusing vampires with goths.

No, goths just sulk and cut themselves. These were vampires.

There's actually a study/research paper that if vampires existed, and fed on one human per month who then in turn became a vampire with an equal amount of feeding, the human race would become entirely vampires within 2.5 years

http://www.world-science.net/othernews/061024_vampire.htm

So no, vampires do not exist in a supernatural form

Yes of course there aren't blood sucking vampires that turn into bats in the traditional mythical sense.

But wouldn't you agree their are definitely people out there who suck out your life force when you are in their company?

Have you met people such as these?

One that stands out prominently in my memories is a woman i made friends with when my son was young. She had a young daughter and we met at a Mums and Tots group and she only lived round the corner from me, so it seemed like a good idea to become friends.

Wrong!

She was one of the most draining and exhausting people i have ever met.

Half an hour in her company and i would feel exhausted with a splitting migraine. My son would always have his difficult moments whenever she was around, crying and very unsettled.

Her daughter was a pale and sickly child, always with something wrong with her and was very quiet and withdrawn and introverted, never getting involved in the activities with the other tots and would just sit placidly watching, almost like she had no vitality.

This woman would would go on incessantly about herself, non-stop and always complaining. She was very selfish, never seemed to be interested in anyone or anything else. She was utterly draining!

In the end i moved and never told her where and apparently she was stalking me and spent quite a while trying to find out where I'd moved, but my friends were under strict instruction not to tell her. Finally she moved back up North and i thankfully never saw her again.

I met another girl sometime after who was just the same. She would talk rapidly non-stop about herself, like she was using me as a sound-board. Needless to say i didn't entertain her as a good friend.

Have you had experiences where when you've been with a particular person, you feel depleted of energy, drained and exhausted?
